There is a bug in macOS 10.14.0 and 10.14.1 that can cause the ".com.microsoft.rdc.application-data_SUPPORT/_EXTERNAL_DATA" folder (nested deep inside the /Library folder) to consume a large amount of disk space. To resolve this issue, delete the folder content and upgrade to macOS 10.14.2. Note that a side-effect of deleting the folder contents is that snapshot images assigned to bookmarks will be deleted. These images will be regenerated when reconnecting to the remote PC.
Microsoft Remote Desktop is one of the best remote desktop clients out there in the market. It now has a Mac version available as well. The Mac version helps users to connect their PC to their Mac and work seamlessly across the machines.
Microsoft Remote Desktop Mac Os 10.6.8
Hi, You could try to download Version 10.6.6from App Center on your Mac. -k2vy/apps/microsoft-remote-desktop-for-mac/distribution_groups/all-users-of-microsoft-remote-desktop-for-mac If you want to feedback some issue about the app, you could try to post it to uservoice. -remote-desktop-client-for-macos/filters/new?category_id=369013 Hope this helps and please help to accept as Answer if the response is useful. Best Regards, Carl
I have a MAC book pro (OS X 10.6.8) that will not connect to my work from outside our company network. When the laptop is in the building I can remote in without any problems to our Server 2012. By the way I am using Microsoft Desktop Connection for Mac. This has happened all of a sudden and there have been no system changes to the computer or firewall.
I have a user using the new Mac View Client (v1.4) and it connects to a View desktop fine when picking RDP as the connection protocol but when you select PCoIP as the protocol and select a desktop pool, the View window disappears and after a while the window where you pick a desktop pool comes back up. I assume something is timing out, sending you back to the pool screen. It's just this particular Macbook though, if he logs into a iMac running the exact same OS (Snow Leopard 10.6.8) that has the new View Client on it it runs fine using PCoIP.
If you ever need to connect to computers running Windows, this 7.8MB download is a good addition to your toolbox. Microsoft Remote Desktop is one of the best remote desktop clients out there in the market. The release notes don't say much about what is new in this version, and I didn't notice any new features (other than not crashing on Snow Leopard, which is a significant plus). I downloaded the new version, ran the installer (I'm not sure why it needs an installer for what seems like a self-contained application, but it does) and the app launched as expected. I took a quick look around and found that version 2.0.1 had been released in mid-August. Splashtop Remote Desktop eliminates the need to transfer, convert or sync files and multimedia among devices. Being able to access computers from a remote location helps you avoid a lot of hustle: you can offer support, access data. Fixed an issue where the session window may jump to another monitor when auto-reconnect kicks in.
Another interesting note: Before Mac OS X Lion, the Screen Sharing function worked just like conventional VNC. That is, upon connecting, you would immediately see and control the remote screen concurrently with the user at that computer. But, as of Mac OS X Lion, you also have to log in using an account on the target Mac computer (even after you already typed the Screen Sharing password). If you log in with the same account as the person logged in already, you will both see the same screen, but this means the user will have to give you his password. If you use a different account, you will be controlling the computer in a separate desktop session (without affecting the currently logged-in user's session). It's kind of cool you can do that, but it's not helpful if you want to provide remote support or tutoring. Again, this change in function only applies to the built-in Screen Sharing function in the Mac OS; if you use RealVNC, it works the same in any version of OS X.
I'm working on remote machines, so I guess the target plist file or value doesn't exist on the 10.6.8 machines. For the record I was looking at the info.plist file for a number of apps for monitoring so not sure why they wouldn't exist. It's not too big a deal as we only have 5 of them left in our environment and a better solution is to eliminate these! Thanks for the quick response guys. 2ff7e9595c
